Coaching

 

And Then We Coach – After engagement, we coach... one-on-one, to support each employee’s efforts to take action to change and improve risky lifestyle behaviors (or otherwise deal with those health issues of importance to them and their families).

Combination of Methodologies – Though we anticipate that most employees who engage with us in coaching will do so onsite and face-to-face, we will utilize, for each person coached, the delivery methodology (onsite, telephonic, or online), or combination of methodologies, most suitable, appropriate, practical and effective to meet their personal needs and logistical constraints. That means that even for those employees who engage with us primarily in face-to-face coaching, we will also utilize our online and telephonic technology platform as a supplemental tool to enhance our coaching effectiveness.

Their Own Coach – Each individual coached will have their own personal coach who will stay with them throughout their coaching regime, fostering the trusting relationship so critical for sustained engagement and real behavior change.

Coaching Process – Our coaching process is based upon the latest scientifically supported behavior change theory and practice, and is designed to move each person we coach steadily, each at their own pace, to sustained behavior and health improvement. Though customized for each participant, our process generally includes some combination of the following elements:

  • Building self-awareness
  • Setting objectives and strategies
  • Building confidence, self responsibility and self efficacy
  • Building skills and providing tools
  • Educating, guiding, motivating and supporting
  • Overcoming obstacles
  • Fostering accountability

Logistics – Logistically, onsite/face-to-face coaching interactions will take place right in the workplace either on a spontaneous basis as our Wellness Coaches make their regular and scheduled rounds, on a scheduled basis, or by appointment in areas designated for such purpose.

Telephonic and internet coaching interactions will be primarily conducted as scheduled between our coach/coaches and employees. Of course, employees can otherwise access our online portal whenever, and as frequently as they determine. Please see Technology Platform.
